Mingori has built and delivered, in full respect of the contractual time, the European Food Safety Authority (Efsa) headquarters, located in viale Piacenza, in a key position for the development of the city.The delivery coincided with another significant occasion: the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the European Food Safety Authority, officially established in January 2002. The complex, fully operational, is located in Viale Piacenza "Sports faciltiy area 7 Fratelli Cervi" in a nodal position for urban development of the city of Parma. >The building, built according to strict specifications requested by EFSA, is a triangular shape tower, with a maximum height above ground equal to over 40 meters for a total of 11 floors, houses a total of 450 officials as well as a Conference Centre; it has two underground floors, designed to accommodate 200 cars. On the ground floor there is a trapezoidal plate is used as a meeting room in addition to a restaurant for 168 guests. Of particular note the external facades, consisting of curtain walls with glass elements with integrated sunshade elements of perforated sheet metal; the blind parts are coated in white aluminum panels. Special attention was given to the application of the most modern and environmentally friendly plant solutions, ranging from geothermal energy for heating and cooling energy for the adoption of photovoltaic and solar panels for the production of electricity and hot water.
